Louis Johnson and Broadway

Damn Yankees

Throughout his career, Johnson performed in and choreographed many Broadway productions. His performances include Four Saints in Three Acts, House of Flowers, Damn Yankees, and Hallelujah Baby!. Johnson then went on to choreograph various musicals. His most notable works include Treemonisha and Purlie, the latter for which he received a Tony nomination. He also choreographed for Black Nativity, a production created by Langston Hughes.
