Olinda Davis was a founding member of Dance Theatre of Harlem. In January 1971, Davis performed with the company in their official debut at the Guggenheim.<\/span><\/p>\n Davis played the role of the priestess in Arthur Mitchell\u2019s <\/span>Rhythmetron<\/span><\/i>, which Minneapolis\u2019 <\/span>Star Tribune<\/span><\/i> said she performed \u201cwith a controlled but free style.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Davis married fellow DTH member Lazar Dano<\/a>, whom she later divorced.
