<\/a>Chip Coleman received his Bachelors in Biology from Dartmouth College. After college, Coleman joined The Washington Ballet, where he danced professionally for 14 years. He then danced with The Washington National Opera for three years.<\/p>\nDuring his tenure at The Washington Ballet, Coleman was cited in The<\/em> New York Times<\/em> as \u201cdancing with strong resilience\u201d in Graham Lustig\u2019s Evening<\/i>. His role in Val Caniparoli\u2019s Bird\u2019s Nest<\/i> was called \u201cexplosive\u201d by The<\/em> Washington Post<\/em>. Dance Magazine<\/em> lauded Coleman for his \u201csmooth partnering\u201d in The Washington Ballet\u2019s \u201c7×7: Love\u201d program. Other notable performances included Lynn Cote’s Interlacing<\/i> and the role of Max\u2019s Mama in Septime Webre\u2019s story ballet Where the Wild Things Are<\/i>. As a member of The Washington Ballet, Coleman also performed in Cynthia Newport’s 2004 documentary Dance Cuba: Dreams of Flight<\/i>.<\/p>\n Currently, Coleman is a Nutritional Therapy Consultant, Certified Polestar Pilates trainer, and fitness instructor.
