Capitol Ballet and Nathaniel Orr<\/h2>\n

Nathaniel Orr, an Ailey alumnus and former member of the Washington Ballet, was part of the new, 12-member incarnation of the Capitol Ballet Company in 1988.<\/span><\/p>\n

Orr’s Undeniably Bach<\/em> used a straightforward neoclassical approach in a modestly scaled setting of a three-movement Bach concerto, the high point being the lyrical dalliance of the middle movement, featuring Sandra Fortune-Green<\/strong><\/a>, Don Bellamy<\/strong><\/a> and Otis Daye<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to being a part of the Capitol Ballet Company, Orr was also an Ailey alumnus, former member of the Washington Ballet, and a former member of the RockVille Dance Company. Orr has been featured in articles from The Washington Post<\/em> and The New York Times<\/em>. Orr performed with Alvin Ailey<\/strong><\/a> American Dance Theater, along with fellow Capitol Ballet Company members April Berry<\/strong><\/a> and Kevin Brown<\/strong><\/a> in March 1981 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.<\/span><\/p>\n
