\"\"<\/a>Audrey Marinda Borst was born in Berkeley, California and has been dancing since the age of three. She trained at the San Francisco Ballet for ten years where she performed the lead role of Clara in <\/span>The Nutcracker<\/span><\/i>. Borst immersed herself in the dance community, serving as a company member in Sarah Bush Dance Project and Peninsula Ballet while also performing as a guest artist with Oakland Ballet School. Through study with Alonzo King LINES Ballet, Borst began to explore other dance styles including Gaga, Horton, and contemporary ballet. Continuing her artistic growth, Borst trained at summer sessions around the country such as Ballet San Jose, San Francisco City Ballet, and Dance Theater of Harlem. In 2016, Borst moved to New York City where she studied as a scholarship student at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. She began working as a teaching artist and freelancer dancer including with Brooklyn Ballet, Jamal Jackson Dance Company, and the Spring 2020 cohort of Dance Lab New York. In 2021, Borst directed Brooklyn ballet\u2019s re-imagined <\/span>Nutcracker<\/span><\/i>, which\u2014in addition to ballet<\/span>\u2014<\/span>incorporates African dance, Middle Eastern belly dance, Native American hoop dance, Spanish flamenco, and New York City hip-hop.<\/span><\/p>\n
