\u00a0Meet Destiny Wimpye, \u00a0a dancer, actress and model from Atlanta, Ga. In 2013 Destiny relocated to LA to train at\u00a0The Debbie Allen Dance Academy. Since her\u00a0<\/span>relocation<\/span>\u00a0she has performed with \u00a0<\/span>Mariah Carey<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>Jill Scott<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>Debbie Allen<\/span> and\u00a0<\/span>at the\u00a0White\u00a0<\/span>House for The Obama Administration.<\/span><\/p>\n

Destiny can be\u00a0<\/span>found<\/span>\u00a0in commercials for\u00a0ABC Mouse,\u00a0Macy’s\u00a0and\u00a0Toyota. Her acting skills have landed her on tv shows such as “Raven’s Home”, “Speechless”, “The Odd Couple”,\u00a0<\/span>a principal role in the hit television show “This is Us” and <\/span>Tyler Perry’s\u00a0<\/span>A Jazzman’s Blues”\u00a0on Netflix.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although Destiny’s main focus is ballet, \u00a0she can be seen modeling for companies like\u00a0<\/span>Discount Dance<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>All About Dance<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Mariaa Dance Wear.\u00a0<\/span>She was\u00a0<\/span>featured in a makeup campaign for\u00a0Hourglass Cosmetics<\/a>\u00a0with<\/span>\u00a0Twyla Tharp.<\/span><\/p>\n

Destiny has been named in the top 10 “<\/span>Up and Coming Ballerinas to Watch<\/span>” by\u00a0Dance Spirit Magazine<\/a>, she has been featured in <\/span>Dance Mogul Magazine<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Dance\u00a0Informa Magazine<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Destiny studied\u00a0<\/span>at the\u00a0Colburn Dance Academy\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Pacific Northwest Ballet School\u00a0where she\u00a0<\/span>recently<\/span>\u00a0completed an apprenticeship. Her\u00a0<\/span>training<\/span>\u00a0includes courses at the\u00a0Ailey School,\u00a0<\/span>Debbie\u00a0<\/span>Allen Dance Academy,\u00a0School of American Ballet\u00a0and\u00a0Chautauqua Dance Program. <\/span>She will be joining the\u00a0Corps de Ballet in August 2023.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

\u200b<\/span><\/span>While a student at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Destiny performed in Company productions of\u00a0George Balanchine<\/a>\u2019s The Nutcracker\u00ae\u00a0and\u00a0Kent Stowell\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0Swan Lake\u00a0<\/a>(Four Swans).\u00a0She performed leading and featured roles in\u00a0Bruce Wells\u2019<\/a>\u00a0Beauty and the Beast\u00a0<\/a>(Belle);\u00a0Malena Ani\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0pillow scream and\u00a0Noah Martzall\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0The Difference Between for NEXT STEP; and\u00a0Christopher D\u2019Ariano\u2019s<\/a> Homage<\/span><\/p>\n
