Mckenzie Bernardino Soares is member of New York City Ballet\u2019s corps de ballet. He was born in Danbury, Connecticut, and began his dance training locally at the age of four at the Academy of Dance Arts. He enrolled at the School of American Ballet, the official school of New York City Ballet, at age six. As a student at SAB, he performed in ballets including George Balanchine\u2019s\u00a0Harlequinade<\/em>,\u00a0George Balanchine\u2019s \u201cThe Nutcracker<\/em>, and Peter Martins\u2019\u00a0Romeo + Juliet<\/em>. Soares became an apprentice with NYCB in August 2021 and joined the corps de ballet in May 2022.<\/p>\n
