\nBallet Memphis (2011)<\/b><\/h2>\n

Elizabeth Mensah joined Ballet Memphis after dancing as a trainee with the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago. With Ballet Memphis, she danced many roles including Reggie Wilson\u2019s I Am A Man<\/em>, Steven McMahon\u2019s I Am<\/em>, Julia Adam\u2019s The Second Line<\/em>, and as the Stepmother in Steven McMahon\u2019s Cinderella<\/em>. She has performed roles in Petr Zahradn\u00edek\u2019s The Hurdle Runner<\/em> and Night and Day in FedEx City<\/em>, in Julie Niekrasz\u2019s Corps de Fortitude<\/em>, and Rafael Ferreras<\/a>\u2019 Politics<\/em>. From 2011-12, she was a part of the company\u2019s Connections: Kids outreach program. In 2012, she was a dancer\/mentor in the Urban Bush Women Summer Leadership Institute in New Orleans, as well as a recipient of a 2012 Emerging Artist Grant from the Jeniam Foundation. Mensah studied at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City on full-merit scholarship and in the trainee program at the Joffrey Academy of Dance in Chicago. Mensah is a certified STOTT PILATES\u00ae instructor with the Pilates Centre of Ballet Memphis. She is from Chicago.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
