After dancing with Ballet Memphis, CAPAB Ballet (now known as Cape Town City Ballet), Hong Kong Ballet, and National Dance Co. of Bophuthatswana, Robert Philander Valentine now enjoys a successful career as a choreographer and Missouri Ballet Theatre’s ballet master.

For MBT, he has choreographed and staged Sunday, Sunday; Porteno Fantastico; In the Rays of the Sun; St. Louis Swing; and Tres and Last Day.

He has choreographed for Ballet Memphis, Nashville Ballet, Nashville Ballet II, School of Nashville Ballet, Springfield Ballet Co., and the Virginia School of the Arts.

Nashville Ballet has performed Valentine’s works Sunday, Sunday; LAPse Dance; and Premeditated.
