Ommaira Kanga Perez is a professional dancer from Spain. After starting dance at a young age, Perez trained at the Joffrey Academy of Dance and Escuela de Ballet Carmina Ocaña y Pablo Savoye.
Despite her worries that she may never reach her goal of dancing professionally, Perez joined Northern Ballet (Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK) in 2017. She performed several lead roles with the company: Grandmother in Little Red Riding Hood, a Stepsister in Cinderella, and Young Clara in The Nutcracker. For the latter role, the arts & culture blog Rewrite This Story praised her “beaming smile and innocent attitude.” She appeared as a Snowflake in The Nutcracker and in The Great Gatsby and Cathy Marston’s Victoria.
Perez has also danced with Oklahoma City Ballet.
