Bernard E. Banks, Jr. was born June 1, 1956 and trained at the Jones Haywood School of Ballet. As a member of the Capitol Ballet, Banks performed Doris Jones’ Rhapsody in Blue and Hinton Battle’s Hinty on November 20, 1977 at the Lisner Auditorium. Banks remained active in the Jones Haywood School and Capitol Ballet alumni community and passed away on May 27, 2014.
