Bronx-native Gabrielle Salvatto trained at the School of American Ballet and the Dance Theatre of Harlem. She attended Professional Performing Arts School, LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, and the Juilliard School, from which she earned her BFA.

Salvatto danced with Dance Theatre of Harlem for two and a half seasons before joining Ballet West in 2014. She was then promoted to the rank of demi-soloist in 2017 and most recently became a member of Tanzcompany Innsbruck in Innsbruck, Austria.
In 2015, Salvatto appeared as a featured dancer on Starz’s Flesh and Bone.

Along with Katlyn Addison, Ginabel Peterson, and Jazz Bynum of Ballet West, Salvatto appeared on the cover of A Ballet Educations’ 2020 September Issue.

Salvatto penned an article for Interview En L’Air entitled “Black Face in White Spaces,” and her encounters with racism within Ballet West and other institutions were shared in Dance Magazine in June 2020.
