Miranda Silveira grew up in Barcelona, Spain but moved to Madrid at age 14 to advance her training at the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza under Marisa Martínez and Rosa Naranjo. She was awarded first place at the 13th International Dance Contest of Ribarroja del Turia.

At age 16, Silveira earned a full scholarship to the San Francisco Ballet School and subsequently joined the company as an apprentice in 2013 and the corps de ballet in 2014. Her featured roles with the company were Spanish, French, and the Snow Queen in Helgi Tomasson’s The Nutcracker and Pas de Six and the Gold Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty, among others. Her other repertoire included Tomasson’s Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, and Caprice; Christopher Wheeldon’s Cinderella; Marius Petipa’s La Bayadère; Liam Scarlett’s The Hummingbird; George Balanchine’s Stravinsky Violin Concerto; Val Caniparoli’s Lambarena; John Cranko’s Onegin; Serge Lifar’s Suite en Blanc; and Myles Thatcher’s Manifesto. She has also worked with William Forsythe, Wayne McGregor, and David Dawson.

Silveira joined Compañía Nacional de Danza in 2021 under artistic director Joaquín de Luz.
