Ronald Wagstaff is from Kennesaw, Georgia and started his dance training at age six. He studied at the Chamberlain School of Ballet and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and attended summer intensives at the Joffrey Ballet School, CPYB, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Miami City Ballet.

Wagstaff has received scholarships from the Chamberlain School of Ballet, Dance Council of North Texas, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.
