Samantha Webb was a British dancer who performed with the Dance Theatre of Harlem in 1985. Due to the lack of employment opportunities in the UK, Webb and fellow dancers Adesola Akinleye, Paul Bailey, and Gregory James were sent by the Greater London Council to train and perform with DTH. The Council provided partial stipends and paid for the dancers’ travel expenses. Webb was a member of the DTH Workshop Ensemble and danced in the main company’s productions as a part of the corps de ballet (Narratives 59). While at the company, she and her peers were interviewed by BBC’s Eye to Eye Series – Breaking the Mould.
