Born in Chicago, IL ca. 1986 to Duane Gosa Snr. and Linda Coleman, Duane Gosa moved to Ohio at age four. Gosa didn’t start his ballet training until the age of 16 at Eastland Performing Arts High School in Columbus, OH. He graduated from the University of Akron in 2008, earning a BFA in Dance. Gosa moved to New York City shortly before his graduation, taking a job with the contemporary company Jennifer Muller/The Works. He also performed Esther at Lincoln Center with New York City Opera and on the Taiwanese tour of AIDA. Other professional experience includes performances with Brooklyn Ballet, Gleich Dances, and the contemporary cabaret company The Love Show.

In September 2013, Gosa became a member of Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo. With the company, he and his alter egos (Helen Highwaters and the Legupski Brothers) have performed soloist roles and have toured to over 20 countries.

Gosa was featured in Ballerina Boys, a PBS American Masters documentary on Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo.
