Panama-native Ricardo Dyer is a professional dancer based out of New York City. Dyer was introduced to dance through musical theater, but focused on ballet at 15 years old. He attended The Governor’s School for the Arts in Norfolk, Virginia and later Butler University, where he performed with Butler Ballet and majored in Dance Performance and Dance Arts Admin.

Since then, he has worked professionally for Elements Contemporary Ballet, Charlottesville Ballet, Ballet Memphis, and Smuin Contemporary Ballet, which he joined in 2019. He has performed works by George Balanchine and Trey McIntyre, among others. A May 2021 review noted that Dyer has “some of the most elegant hands in all ballet.”
