Éric Vu-An and Ballet National de Bordeaux
In 1995, Éric Vu-An was appointed artistic director of the Ballet National de Bordeaux. He remained in this position until 1997, when he became director of Le Ballet de l’Opéra Grand Avignon.

The Grand Théâtre de Bordeauv, which houses Ballet National de Bordeaux, was conceived by architect Victor Louis and first inaugurated on April 17, 1780. Built in a neoclassical style, it has housed plays, concerts, operas and ballet performances for over two centuries. It is one of the oldest wooden-frame opera houses in Europe that has not burned down or required rebuilding.
