From April 30, 1948 to February 19, 1949, Inside U.S.A. ran at the New Century Theatre on West 58th Street and later the Majestic Theatre in New York City. The musical revue featured music by Arthur Schwarz and lyrics by Howard Dietz. Each sketch within the show revolved around a certain US state and was based on a book by John Gunther. The production won two Theatre World Awards in 1948.
