Alexandre Gomes Barbosa is from Curvelo, Brazil. He attended Petite Danse School of Dance in Rio de Janeiro, under the direction of Patrícia Salgado.In2016, he won the Bronze Medal in the Seminário Internacional de Dança, Brazil. In that competition he was offered a position at Sarasota Ballet, under the direction of Iain Webb, where he danced George Balanchine’s full-length Jewels, Theme and Variation, Agon and many famous Ashton ballets like The Dream and Two Pigeons. In 2018, he joined Orlando Ballet, under Robert Hill’s direction, where he got to dance in The Nutcracker, Bolero and Arcadian Broad’s Wonderland. In 2019, with Florida Ballet he debuted as Prince in VanFlateren’s Cinderella. He has performed all over the world, including Chile, Joinville, Maine, Naples, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
