Competitions have become the bedrock of recruitment in the ballet world, providing access and opportunities to elite training around the globe. Although there is a great deal of IDEA work being done in the ballet field especially at the school level, competitions have yet to truly take part in the effort to acknowledge or address the lack of diversity of both participants and more importantly their juries. This panel would examine what is, or is not happening in the areas of diversity, inclusion in the realm of Ballet Competitions.
