Capitol Ballet

As a member of the Capitol Ballet, Christopher Otway performed Joyce Trisler’s Dance for Six and Doris W. Jones’ Rhapsody in Blue at the Lisner Auditorium on November 20, 1977. Little else is known about Otway.

Note: It is not definite that Christopher Otway was Black as we have no photographic or written evidence, but based on his status as a member of a historically Black company, he has been included in MoBBallet’s Roll Call.
