Edward Moore
Dance Theatre of Harlem
Edward Moore was one of the founding members of Dance Theatre of Harlem. He performed with the company in their first performance at Jacob’s Pillow as well as touring through the US and in Bermuda and Curacao. His repertoire with the company included Arthur Mitchell‘s Holberg Suite, Rhymetron, and Spiritual Suite and Louis Johnson‘s Forces of Rhythm.
In 1971 The New York Times writer Clive Barnes described Moore as a “tough and vigorous male [dancer].”
After his dance career, he was reported to be “driving a truck in Ohio.”
