Karen Henry trained at Dance Theatre of Harlem and School of American Ballet. She was a member of Nanette Bearden’s Contemporary Dance Theatre, Alfred Gallman’s Newark Dance Theater, and Dance Theatre of Harlem. She performed principal roles in Balanchine’s Serenade and Four Temperaments and Arthur Mitchell’s Fete Noire, Holberg Suite, and Tones. She has taught and performed extensively as a guest artist in Europe.
