Rob van Woerkom is a Dutch ballet dancer with Surinamese and Nigerian roots. He studied at the Scapino Dance Academy in Rotterdam. He began his dance career at the Royal Flemish Opera and later danced at the Dutch Dance Theatre in the Hague before becoming a dancer at the Dutch National Ballet for 15 years. Van Woerkom performed in productions choreographed by the likes of Balanchine and Petipa and was heavily favored in contemporary Dutch choreographic works from Toer van Schayk, Rudi van Dantzig, and Hans van Manen, including Life, 5 Tangos, Under My Feet, In and Out, and Collective Symphony.
