Alexander Skinner

National Ballet of Canada: Corps de Ballet (2017-present)

Alexander Skinner was born in Ottawa, Ontario and trained at The School of Dance in Ottawa, Ontario and Canada’s National Ballet School. Mr. Skinner joined The National Ballet of Canada as a RBC apprentice in 2017 and became a member of the corps de ballet in 2018. Mr. Skinner’s repertoire includes Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, The Winter’s Tale, Nijinsky, Anna Karenina, The Merry Widow, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Dream, The Second Detail, Emergence, Being and Nothingness, and Night. Mr. Skinner was awarded the David Tory Award in 2020 and the RBC Emerging Artist Award in 2018.
