Jazz Bynum received a BFA in Dance at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee before becoming a trainee at Ballet West Academy in 2018. She is now a member of Ballet West II and is a ballet instructor as well. Bynum was also part of the team that revamped Ballet West’s policies to create a more equitable environment within the company for Black and Brown dancers. Bynum, along with fellow Ballet West dancers, was featured on the cover of A Ballet Education’s Fall 2020 issue, a “celebration of Black women in ballet.”
