Rodney Swan

Dance Theatre of Harlem

Rodney Swan was one of the founding members of Dance Theatre of Harlem. He performed with the company in their first performance at Jacob’s Pillow and their official debut at the Guggenheim Museum in 1971. Swan’s repertoire with the company included Arthur Mitchell’s Rhymetron, Holberg Suite, and Fête Noire.

Swan reportedly died in a car accident, sometime before 1994.
