Charles Calhoun
Washington Ballet
Joffrey II (1982-1983)
His “masculine presence” onstage was praised by the Warren Township, New Jersey’s Echoes-Sentinel in 1982. The Baltimore Sun called Calhoun a “conscientious partner” in a 1985 performance of George Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco. In 1993, the same paper said he and his fellow dancers performed with “emotional acumen” in John Cranko’s Des Pas sur la neige.
