Stephanie Rhinehart was a member of Joseph Rickard’s First Negro Classic Ballet in Los Angeles, California.

She played the role of a Stepsister in Cinderella, a role for which the California Eagle praised her and Theodore Crum’s “light, humorous treatment of the number.” The Los Angeles Times said, “the parts of the gaudily dressed sisters were properly hammed” by the duo.

Rhinehart’s repertory also included Harlot’s House.

*Please note that it is not definite that Rhinehart was black. We have included her on the MoBBallet Roll Call because of her participation with First Negro Classic Ballet, but the company did include one white member and several of Latino descent.
