Rhea Roderick was born ca. 1982 and began her dance training at the Pennsylvania Ballet School and Philadelphia’s New Freedom Theater. She attended The Juilliard School, The Ailey School, and Joffrey Ballet School on full scholarship. In addition to dancing with Dance Theatre of Harlem, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and Oakland Ballet, Roderick has performed with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Ballet Arts of Minnesota, Moving Poets, and in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Her musical theater credits include the National Tour of Carousel, the first National Tour of Disney’s The Lion King (from 2007 to 2012), and in The Lion King on Broadway in 2012. She has been featured in Dance Spirit Magazine and Sportswear International as well as the 2007 movie Across the Universe.
