More about the Opéra National de Paris Ballet School

The Ballet School of the Opéra National de Paris was created by Louis XIV in 1713. The school still has a worldwide reputation for teaching ballet. In the past, it focused on recruiting students at a young age for their talent and training them through 18 years old, when they had to start their careers. The school has shifted towards a goal of enrolling artists with outstanding physical abilities and giving them both an education in ballet and a general education as well.
